Multiple scenic trails radiate right from the resort, satisfying a variety of interests. Families delight in the grandeur and mile-high clean air of the Bitterroot Mountains. Lots of opportunities abound for amateur, as well as, professional photographers.

The pristine waters of Camp Creek sporting pan-size, native brook trout flows right through Lost Trail Hot Springs Resort. Just five miles downstream are the headwaters of the Bitterroot River where rainbow, cutthroat and dolly varden test the skill of the angler. One of the premier blue ribbon trout streams in the United States, the Big Hole River, is only 30 miles east of the resort.

Lost Trail Powder Mountain, Montana’s family ski area at a base elevation of 7,050 feet above sea level, is located six miles above Lost Trail Hot Springs Resort. Slopes are designed for every level of ability. For really spectacular skiing, Lost Trail Powder Mountain offers two double chair lifts to the top of the mountain.

Winter activities also include snowmobiling and Nordic skiing. Chief Joseph Cross Country Trails is about fifteen minutes east up into the Big Hole Valley. Chief Joseph has twenty-five miles of beautiful, groomed trails and is located one mile off US Highway 93 at the top of Chief Joseph Pass.
